The AirTAC Airtac 3V2M-F Base 3V2M16F is a genuine 3V2M manifold base for 16 stations on one shared air supply. A base is a machined block: it carries no coil and no solenoid, so the valves that sit on it are ordered separately.
With sixteen positions, the 3V2M16F turns sixteen AirTAC 3V2M 3/2 valves into one integrated manifold assembly. Because the block feeds every valve from a common supply and a common wiring run, tracing a fault means checking one station instead of chasing sixteen separate sets of hoses and cables.
The block itself is passive: no coil, no voltage and no initial state belong to the base - they are defined by the 3V2M valves ordered separately. All sixteen stations exhaust through one centralised port. The thread is PT as standard; G and NPT can be specified when ordering.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V2M catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V2M | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| 16F | 16 stations in one assembly, centralised exhaust. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Sixteen clamp pins press a circuit board onto the test grid, each pin driven by its own 3V2M valve position on the 3V2M16F manifold.
Sixteen pneumatic swing clamps on an automotive machining fixture, cycled by valves that share one supply and one wiring duct.
Each fill nozzle on a rotary food filler is opened and vented by a single valve station, so a suspect head is easy to isolate and check.
Fix your five decisions before ordering: sixteen stations (set by this base), centralised exhaust, PT base thread (G or NPT as an option), and for each valve the initial state, coil voltage and entry style. Remember the state is locked in at purchase - an NC 3V2M valve cannot be flipped or regasketed into a NO valve later.
On flow, expect Cv 0.1 per station because the air path runs through the base. Where a station demands more, an individual 3V2 gives Cv 0.18 at 1/8 inch and 3V3 reaches Cv 0.62 at 1/4 inch (both vacuum-rated); 3V1 saves power at 3.0 W DC on small duties. Double-acting cylinders need a 5-port 4V valve, not this 3/2 family.
Confirm before you order
Each 3V2M valve on the base gives Cv 0.1, 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) operating pressure, -20 to 70 C medium temperature, IP65-rated valve coils, 7 VA on AC and 7.0 W on DC, with air filtered to 40 um or better. The base itself adds no electrical rating; its thread is PT standard, G or NPT to order.
All sixteen stations vent through one shared exhaust port instead of sixteen separate silencers. That simplifies piping and muffling, but a blocked common exhaust affects every station - check it if multiple valves seem slow. Stations that must vent separately need the D-code independent-exhaust base instead.
