The AirTAC Airtac 3V2M-F Base 3V2M18F is a genuine 3V2M manifold base for 18 stations on one shared air supply. A base is a machined block: it carries no coil and no solenoid, so the valves that sit on it are ordered separately.
Eighteen stations on one block makes the 3V2M18F one of the densest 3V2M manifolds: eighteen 3/2 valve functions, one shared air feed, one shared wiring run and one centralised exhaust port, replacing rows of separate bodies, tees and fittings. On DC24V, eighteen energised coils total about 126 W, roughly 5.3 A at 24 V.
The base is a passive manifold: it has no coil, so no voltage, no power rating and no NC or NO state of its own - those live in the valves, which are ordered separately. You can mix NC and NO valves on the same block. The thread is PT as standard; G and NPT are catalogue options.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V2M catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V2M | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| 18F | 18 stations in one assembly, centralised exhaust. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Eighteen hold-down clamps on a furniture panel press release in sequence, each commanded by its own station on the 3V2M18F manifold.
A calibration bench feeds pressure to eighteen ports under test, each port switched by a valve position sharing the common supply.
Eighteen part-present clamps across a modular cell tray, every clamp on its own 3/2 valve position for quick station isolation.
Eighteen decisions fall into five categories: the base fixes station count (18) and exhaust type (centralised), the thread is PT standard with G or NPT to order, and each valve position takes your chosen initial state, coil voltage and entry. Order the state you need up front - a 3V2M valve bought as NC stays NC; there is no field conversion.
Expect Cv 0.1 per station through the base. Individual 3V2 valves flow Cv 0.18 at 1/8 inch and 3V3 valves Cv 0.62 at 1/4 inch (both vacuum-rated) when a circuit needs more; 3V1 at 3.0 W DC suits small duties. A double-acting cylinder calls for a 5-port AirTAC 4V valve, not a 3/2 unit.
Confirm before you order
Eighteen stations, centralised exhaust, PT base thread (G and NPT to order), PT1/8 valve ports. Each 3V2M valve: Cv 0.1, 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), -20 to 70 C, air filtered to 40 um or finer, IP65 coil, 7 VA AC or 7.0 W DC. All eighteen DC coils on together draw about 126 W, near 5.3 A at 24 V.
Each 3/2 position feeds a single-acting spring-return cylinder, an air blow nozzle, a clamp or a pilot stage, and vents it when de-energised. It cannot drive a double-acting cylinder, which needs two outlet lines - use the AirTAC 4V 5-port series for that. NC and NO valves can be mixed on the block, but each valve's state is fixed when ordered.
