The AirTAC Airtac 3V2M-F Base 3V2M9F is a genuine 3V2M manifold base for 9 stations on one shared air supply. A base is a machined block: it carries no coil and no solenoid, so the valves that sit on it are ordered separately.
The 3V2M9F is a nine-station manifold base in the AirTAC 3V2M family - a machined block, not a valve. It has no coil, no solenoid and therefore no voltage, no power draw, no initial state and no IP rating; those belong to the valve bodies that bolt onto it. Its job is to fix the station count at nine, route one shared air supply to every position, and collect each station's exhaust into a single centralised port. Valves are ordered separately.
Because every mounted 3V2M valve draws its air and its electrical connection through this one block, wiring looms shrink and troubleshooting gets faster: one supply point, one common feed, nine identical positions. If your machine would benefit from venting each station to its own line instead of a shared collector, the independent-exhaust variant is coded 3V2M9FD. The PT thread is the standard on this family, with G and NPT available as order options.

A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Nine vacuum-ejector or blow-off valves share one 3V2M9F block beside the robot wrist, with a single supply line and one exhaust collector instead of nine separate plumbed valves.
A machining centre with nine pallet fixtures runs one NC 3V2M valve per clamp on the 3V2M9F, so each clamp position is fed and wired from the same manifold and faults are isolated station by station.
Nine blow-purge and actuator ports of an analytical autosampler are controlled from one 3V2M9F, keeping the cabinet wiring to a single harness and the air supply to one regulated feed.
Choose the 3V2M9F when you need nine 3/2 valve positions on one compact block and a single shared exhaust collector is acceptable. Check three things before ordering: that centralised exhaust suits your routing (pick the D variant if not), that PT thread matches your pipework (G or NPT on request), and that you have the valve bodies, ordered separately in the NC or NO state, voltage and entry type each station needs - remember the initial state cannot be converted after purchase.
Flow is set by the valves you mount, not by the base: each 3V2M position is Cv 0.1. If any station needs more, mount an individual 3V2 (Cv 0.18 at 1/8 inch, Cv 0.19 at 1/4 inch, and vacuum-rated) or a 3V3 (Cv 0.62, 1/4 inch) instead of filling that slot. For low-power switch duty, 3V1 at 3.0 W DC is the lighter coil option. Power budget tip: nine DC24V 3V2M valves all energised draw about 63 W - size the 24 V supply for every station on at once, not one. Need to drive double-acting cylinders? That takes a 5-port valve from the AirTAC 4V series.
Confirm before you order
The 3V2M9F itself is a passive nine-station manifold block with centralised exhaust and PT thread (G and NPT are order options), so it has no coil, no power figure, no NC/NO state and no IP rating. Each 3V2M valve body fitted to it is a direct-acting 3/2 valve with Cv 0.1, operating pressure 0-0.8 MPa, working temperature -20 to 70 C, coil power 7 VA on AC or 7.0 W on DC, and IP65 protection.
No - the 3V2M9F is the base only, and the nine valve bodies are ordered separately. For each station you choose the initial state (NC or NO - this cannot be changed afterwards by flipping the base gasket or any other means), the coil voltage, and the electrical entry (DIN plug or flying lead). If a station needs more flow than Cv 0.1, use an individual 3V2 or 3V3 valve there, and if it must drive a double-acting cylinder, use a 5-port AirTAC 4V valve instead.
