About the Airtac 3V2M Solenoid Valve 3V2MNCEI-16F
The 3V2MNCEI-16F is a factory-built manifold assembly: sixteen 3V2M NC valve bodies carried on a dedicated 16-station base. Each valve is a 3/2 direct-acting unit with a single AC110V solenoid, spring return and a coaxial shut-off poppet, working on PT1/8 ports. Until a coil is energised, that station's outlet has no air.
Because all sixteen valves share one supply gallery and one wiring run, commissioning and fault-finding stay simple: one air connection to check and one harness to test. Each coil draws 7 VA, so an assembly with all sixteen stations energised at once needs roughly 112 VA from your AC110V control circuit - size the transformer for that worst case. A manual override on every body helps during set-up.

What a 3/2 Valve Does
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
