About the Airtac 3V2M Solenoid Valve 3V2MNOA-5F
The 3V2MNOA-5F is a complete AirTAC assembly: five 3/2 normally open valves already built onto a dedicated 5-station base. Every valve is direct-acting with a single solenoid and spring return, built on a coaxial shut-off poppet that seals well. Because all five share one base, the stations draw from a single air supply and a single wiring run.
In the NO version, air flows to each outlet while the coil is off; energising the AC220V coil shuts that station. Each station is rated Cv 0.1, a flow coefficient suited to small single-acting loads rather than high-demand cylinders. The DIN plug entry keeps wiring to a simple push-on connector. Port thread is PT1/8, with G and NPT available to order.

What a 3/2 Valve Does
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.

Choose 3V2M when station density matters more than raw flow: the path through the base costs flow, giving Cv 0.1 here against Cv 0.18 on an individual 3V2 at the same 1/8 inch size. Step up to 3V3 (Cv 0.62, 1/4 inch, vacuum-rated) when a station needs real volume, or pick 3V1 (3.0 W DC) for light duty at lower power.
The normally open state is fixed: the dedicated base gasket cannot be flipped to convert NO to NC, so order the state you need. A 3/2 valve drives single-acting spring-return cylinders, blow and pilot duty only - for double-acting cylinders you need the 5-port AirTAC 4V series.
