About the Airtac 3V2M Solenoid Valve 3V2MNOFI
3V2MNOFI is a single normally open 3/2 valve body for the 3V2M manifold family, wired through a pre-fitted flying lead instead of a DIN socket. The lead-out drops straight into a machine harness where a plug connector would not seat, which is why this version is popular on mobile plant and tightly packed equipment running from a 12 V supply.
The valve is direct-acting with spring return and a coaxial poppet seat. In its resting state it passes air from supply to outlet; energising the 7.0 W DC12V coil vents that outlet to exhaust. Flow is Cv 0.1, the coil is IP65 rated, ports are PT1/8 and a manual override helps during setup. The body mounts on a 3V2M base ordered separately, and the normally open state is fixed at purchase - it cannot be swapped in the field by any means.

What a 3/2 Valve Does
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.

Scissor-lift harness
Inside a scissor lift's cable trunk the flying lead wires the NO valve directly into the machine loom, energising to vent a spring-return platform lock where no DIN socket would fit.
Weld fixture release
Clamp studs on an automotive weld fixture stay released by default; the normally open valve cuts air to the spring-return cylinder the moment its coil sees 12 V.
Continuous blow-off nozzle
A nozzle on an electronics assembly bench that must blow continuously and stop only on signal is a natural NO job - the 7.0 W coil works only when the blast stops.
Is the Airtac 3V2M Solenoid Valve 3V2MNOFI the Right Part?
Choose this body when 12 V, flying-lead wiring and a normally open circuit are all fixed requirements. At Cv 0.1 the 3V2M trades flow for manifold density, so a station needing more should run an individual 3V2 (Cv 0.18 at 1/8 in, 0.19 at 1/4 in, vacuum-rated) or a 3V3 (Cv 0.62 at 1/4 in, also vacuum-rated); 3V1 covers small duties on 3.0 W DC.
Order against five points: normally open initial state (not changeable after purchase), DC12V coil, flying lead entry, base station count when you add one, and exhaust routing on the base. PT is the standard thread on this family; G and NPT are order options. A double-acting cylinder needs the 5-port AirTAC 4V series instead.
