The AirTAC Airtac 4V Solenoid Valves 4V11006C-W is a genuine 5/2-way single solenoid (spring return) solenoid valve with W ports and an effective area of 10.2 mm² (Cv 0.6). It is an internally piloted spool valve that directs compressed air to double-acting cylinders and actuators.
The AirTAC 4V110-06C-W is a 5/2 single-solenoid directional valve built on the compact 4V100 body, wired for AC110V at 3.5 VA. With Cv 0.6 (effective area 10.2 mm2) and 1/8in PT tapered ports, it shifts compressed air between the two sides of double-acting cylinders and actuators rated around Dia16-32 mm bore. Energise the coil to switch the valve; the internal spring returns the spool the moment power drops, so the actuator stroke always follows the electrical signal one-for-one. Speed for this class: the spool cycles up to 5 times per second and responds in 0.05 s or less, enough for a Dia20 benchtop cylinder to complete short shuttle strokes at over a push-pull per second on clean, 40 um filtered air. The aluminium body weighs just 120 g, carries IP65 (DIN40050) protection, and the bare terminal-box entry lets you land your own conduit or wire channel. A manual override on the coil end lets maintenance staff stroke the valve with the control power off. Genuine AirTAC unit, sourced through authorised channels.

Size the valve so effective area / Cv is not the bottleneck for your cylinder bore and speed. Undersized valves slow the actuator. Note 5/3 (center) versions have a smaller effective area than the 5/2 of the same body size.

A small rotary actuator swinging a camera into position at 0.5 MPa needs only about 5 kgf torque-equivalent output - well inside the 10.2 mm2 spool - while the spring return guarantees the turret parks on the home port whenever the 110 V signal is cut.
A Dia20 short-stroke press cylinder produces roughly 16 kgf push at 0.5 MPa; with a 5 cycle/s valve limit and 0.05 s response, the station can press caps at about two per second on repeat-run batches.
A Dia16 kicker cylinder deflects harness bundles into sorting lanes; spring return clears the lane automatically on stop or fault, and the 120 g aluminium body bolts straight onto a small manifold beside the conveyor.
Step down only by port size: the 4V110-M5 shares the same 10.2 mm2 spool but uses M5 ports for tight-spaced, small-tube plumbing. Step up when your cylinder needs real force or speed: a Dia16 bore develops about 10 kgf push at 0.5 MPa on this valve, while a Dia32 bore wants roughly 41 kgf push at 0.5 MPa and faster cycling - there the 4V210-08 with Cv 1.0 is the correct neighbour. Function logic: choose single solenoid when the actuator should always park on de-energising, double solenoid when it must hold its last pulsed position, or a 4V130C/E/P 5/3 when you need a definite center state (note 5/3 versions drop to Cv 0.51 and 3 cycles/s). Pick this terminal-box AC110V version when your panel already runs 110 V control circuits and you prefer hard-wiring over pre-wired grommet leads. For replacement matching, confirm five points: body size 4V100, function digit 10, port and thread (1/8in PT here), coil voltage (AC110V), and electrical entry (terminal box). The valve also mounts on an AirTAC manifold base for grouped valve assemblies, so mixed configurations can share one air supply and common exhaust.
Quick checklist
Flow: Cv 0.6, effective area 10.2 mm2. Response: 0.05 s or less, max frequency 5 cycles/s. Pressure: 0.15-0.8 MPa operating, 1.2 MPa proof. Coil: AC110V at 3.5 VA, insulation class B, IP65 housing. Weight 120 g. It directs air to double-acting cylinders of roughly Dia16-32 mm - about 10 kgf push at 0.5 MPa on Dia16, about 41 kgf on Dia32.
Only if the supply is actually 110 V AC. The coil power differs (3.5 VA either way at these two voltages, but the winding is not interchangeable), and applying 220 V to a 110 V coil burns it out within seconds. Match all five points when replacing: 4V100 body, function 10, 1/8in PT ports, AC110V coil, terminal-box entry - otherwise order the exact sibling code instead.
