This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE25X30 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE25X30 in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X30 is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø25mm bore and 30mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE25X30 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP25X30 is a double acting compact cylinder in the DIN-standard ACP series, with a 25 mm bore and a short 30 mm stroke. At 0.5 MPa it pushes with 245.4 N and pulls with 206.2 N, enough for clamps, chutes and small press fixtures. Its hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod runs on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), 30-500 mm/s.
Because the body follows the ISO 21287 short format, it saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it fits tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not. Plan for roughly 147 N (about 15 kgf) of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which vertically lifts about 7 kg with a 2:1 margin. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. Note: this model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ACE25X30, so confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE25X30 (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 245 N | 206 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 344 N | 289 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 50 kgf | |
The ACE25X30 produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 25 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×30 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa seats bearings or bushings into aluminium housings on an electronics assembly bench, with the 30 mm stroke matching shallow press depth.
The short ISO 21287 body tucks under a fixture plate on a milling jig, holding aluminium brackets with about 147 N of usable force at 0.5 MPa.
Mounted with an LB foot beside a conveyor, the cylinder kicks small cartons off the belt at up to 500 mm/s, lifting about 7 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.
At 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa, the 25 mm bore sits between the 20 mm bore (157.1 N) and the 32 mm bore (402.1 N); step down for lighter gates, up for heavier clamping. The 30 mm stroke is well inside the 150 mm standard limit for this bore. The rod end here is female M6x1.0; add B to the code for a male thread. This version has no magnet, so CMSE or DMSE switches cannot be fitted unless you order the -S code. A plain cylinder drifts when air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve for held loads. Order ACE25X30 as the current drop-in and verify ISO 21287 mounting dimensions.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N; at 0.7 MPa it pushes 343.6 N and pulls 288.6 N. The theoretical maximum is 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. It is a double acting cylinder with a 25 mm bore, 30 mm stroke, 10 mm rod and M5x0.8 ports, running at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) and 30-500 mm/s.
No, it is discontinued. The current-production replacement is ACE25X30 (swap the P for an E), which matches the same bore, stroke and force class in the ISO 21287 family. Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP was built to the DIN standard. Mounting options such as FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis carry over.
