About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD80X65SB
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod through BOTH covers, the ACPD80X65SB delivers the same 2356.2 N in each direction at 0.5 MPa (3298.7 N at 0.7 MPa) because both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 80 mm bore carries a 20 mm rod, a male rod thread (B code) and a 1/4" PT port, and the through-rod resists rotation and side load while the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches mount directly on the body.
The hard-anodized aluminium body follows the ISO 21287 short format, cutting about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight presses, guards and gantries. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end and speed runs 30-500 mm/s over 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi). At 0.5 MPa plan for roughly 1414 N of usable work (about 0.6 of the rating), which is a vertical lift of around 120 kg with a 2:1 margin. Note that this model is DISCONTINUED: the current-production drop-in is ACED80X65, so confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
