The AirTAC Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD80X70S is a double acting, double rod DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø80mm bore and 70mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACED80X70S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD80X70S pushes and pulls with identical output: 2356.2 N at 0.5 MPa and 3298.7 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction, since both strokes work on the rod-side area of the 80 mm bore. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mounting face, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag, while fixed TPU bumpers decelerate the piston at each end.
The hard-anodized aluminium body follows the ISO 21287 short format, cutting roughly 50% of the mounting length compared with an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight gantries and guarding. The -S magnet is fitted on this unit, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke signalling. Note the family is discontinued: the current-production successor is the ACED80X70, and buyers should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. As a rule of thumb, plan on about 1414 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa, which corresponds to lifting roughly 120 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.
