The DMSGS-N020 is a solid-state electronic cylinder switch from AirTAC's DMS range. The N in the code makes it an NPN 3-wire sensor, so it sinks current into a PLC discrete input, and it runs on 5-30 V DC with IP64 sealing. It mounts in the groove of an AirTAC cylinder fitted with the magnet option and signals when the piston arrives. Wiring is a 2 m flying lead, the shortest cut-to-length option in the range.
Three wires beat two here: the NPN output switches the negative rail directly, giving the PLC input a cleaner signal than a series-wired 2-wire sensor, with no leakage through the load.
