About the Airtac DMSGS Electronic Sensor DMSGS-P030
DMSGS-P030 gives the same solid-state, PNP 3-wire feedback as its shorter sibling but with the 030 wiring option: a 3 m flying lead. It reads the piston magnet of a magnet-equipped AirTAC cylinder, runs from a 5-30 V DC supply, and its general-type housing is sealed to IP64.
Choosing between a 2 m and a 3 m lead is a routing decision, not a performance one: the extra metre buys slack for dressing the cable around guards and into trunking without strain. As always, the G profile is a mechanical fit code - it has to land in the groove machined for your cylinder body, so send the cylinder series and we will check the match.

The split is electrical, not quality. Solid-state DMS and EMS are DC-only and suit modern PLC inputs; the reed-based CMS switches a much wider window, so it is the one for AC circuits, relay logic and older panels. The RW (IP68) option exists on DMS and EMS only.

Is the Airtac DMSGS Electronic Sensor DMSGS-P030 the Right Switch?
Take this version when the valve manifold or PLC terminal rail sits more than a couple of metres from the cylinder and a cut flying lead is still your preferred termination. The PNP output sources a positive signal into a sourcing PLC input. For panels that favor detachable cabling, an M8 or M12 connector model replaces the fixed lead. The switch alone senses nothing: the cylinder must be ordered with the magnet option, and its groove must accept the G profile.
