About the AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010LF1W)

The AirTAC GC series is a three-unit F.R.L. combination: separate filter, regulator and lubricator units assembled as one set so a single supply line is filtered, regulated and oiled in sequence. This GC40010LF1W is the 400 size with 3/8in PT ports, the fine 5 um filter element (W), a differential-pressure drain, a low-pressure type regulator and a square pressure gauge reading in MPa. Like every GC set it runs on compressed air only, accepts up to 1.0 MPa (145 psi) inlet, works from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and uses polycarbonate bowls at this size.

It is a genuine AirTAC part from the G-series air-treatment range, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8in to 1in, plus options such as automatic or manual drains, the 40 um standard element, G (BSPP) or NPT threads and psi or bar gauge scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet values for this exact model against your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. The combination has no separate bracket code — the three units couple together with their own mounting hardware. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GC400G-series F.R.L. combination, 400 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
1Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — there is no bracket position on a combination. Constituent units, orderable separately as spares: GF400-10 filter, GR400-10 regulator and GL400-10 lubricator.

Size Class & How It Differs From GFC

  • GC200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GC300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GC400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GC600PT3/4" - PT1"

A GC is three separate units, so the filter and the regulator can each be serviced or replaced on their own. A GFC is the two-unit set, where filtering and regulating share one body — shorter, but the two functions come as one part. Both filter, regulate and lubricate.

Where the AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010LF1W) Is Used

settings_input_component

Machine control cabinet supply

Feeds the air side of a machine tool's control cabinet, where the 5 um element protects solenoid valves and the square MPa gauge documents the regulated pressure during commissioning.

engineering

Robot weld-clamp actuation

Supplies the weld-clamp air circuit on a robotic spot-welding cell, filtering and lubricating the air that cycles the clamp cylinders thousands of times per shift.

handyman

Maintenance workshop bench supply

Gives the maintenance bay a filtered, regulated and lubricated bench supply for air tools and test rigs, with the 5 um element for finer protection on sensitive fittings.

Is the AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010LF1W) the Right Station?

Take the 400 size when your line port is 3/8in and demand exceeds what a 300 set serves; larger sizes move more air, and since the figures are curve-based we will check the sizing against your demand before you order. The differential-pressure drain suits a steadily used line, with automatic or manual drains as alternatives in the series. The 5 um (W) element here filters finer than the standard 40 um grade. This version carries a square gauge on the MPa scale; psi and bar scales are available, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads can be ordered in place of the PT standard.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Three-unit (GC) or two-unit (GFC) layout
  • ✓ Oil mist acceptable downstream

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install with the airflow arrow: filter first, lubricator last.
  • check Mount vertically, bowls down.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills; check the oil level.
  • check Keep the station above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowls must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe them with a dry cloth. The lubricator adds an oil mist downstream of the regulator. If any branch of the line must stay oil-free, take that branch off before the lubricator, or use a GR400-10 regulator with a GF400-10 filter on that branch.

AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010LF1W) FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the G series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Share your required flow and inlet pressure and we will confirm the GC40010 datasheet curve against your application before you order.

This set has a differential-pressure drain, which suits lines in steady daily service. If the set stands on an intermittent line or you want to empty the bowl on a fixed schedule, automatic (A) and manual (M) drain versions of the same 400 size are available in the series.
