The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Field order is size, port, drain, type, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — there is no bracket position on a combination. Constituent units, orderable separately as spares: GF400-10 filter, GR400-10 regulator and GL400-10 lubricator.
A GC is three separate units, so the filter and the regulator can each be serviced or replaced on their own. A GFC is the two-unit set, where filtering and regulating share one body — shorter, but the two functions come as one part. Both filter, regulate and lubricate.

The M code means the filter bowl is drained by hand on a maintenance round - in exchange, the regulator can be set as low as 0.05 MPa (7 psi), which differential-pressure and automatic drain versions cannot reach (they start at 0.15 MPa / 20 psi). Size 400 with its 3/8 in port is the mid-range step in the G-series; check the flow curve against your line demand. The 40 um element is the standard grade; order the W suffix for 5 um. This unit carries a round MPa gauge; square gauges and psi or bar scales are orderable. Thread is PT as the standard, with G and NPT as orderable options. Quick checklist
The PC bowls must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe them with a dry cloth. The lubricator adds an oil mist downstream of the regulator. If any branch of the line must stay oil-free, take that branch off before the lubricator, or use a GR400-10 regulator with a GF400-10 filter on that branch.

The manual drain (M) needs someone to bleed the bowl periodically, but it allows regulation down to 0.05 MPa (7 psi). The differential-pressure default starts regulation at 0.15 MPa (20 psi) and drains with pressure drop rather than by hand. Choose by how low you need to set pressure and who will maintain the unit.
