The AirTAC AirTAC GC40015MLC2WGK F.R.L. Unit, G1/2, 5 um, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series three-unit F.R.L. combination: a separate filter, a separate regulator and a separate lubricator assembled as one air-preparation station. It has PT1/2" ports, a 5 µm element, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
The AirTAC GC400 is a three-piece F.R.L. combination: a separate air filter, a pressure regulator and an oil-mist lubricator, assembled as one air-preparation set. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a G1/2 (BSPP) port. It removes water and particulate down to 5 um (the finer of the two published grades), regulates downstream pressure with the low-pressure type regulator, and adds oil-mist lubrication for downstream air tools and cylinders. The bowls are drained manually, a round psi gauge is fitted, a reverse/check valve is included, and a mounting bracket is supplied. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowls suit this size; only the 600 size uses aluminium alloy bowls.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GC family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port sizes from 1/8 in up to 1 in, thread options PT (standard), G and NPT, drain choices, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge and scale choices, and a reverse/check valve option. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. The combination has no separate bracket code — the three units couple together with their own mounting hardware. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — there is no bracket position on a combination. Constituent units, orderable separately as spares: GF400-15 filter, GR400-15 regulator and GL400-15 lubricator.
A GC is three separate units, so the filter and the regulator can each be serviced or replaced on their own. A GFC is the two-unit set, where filtering and regulating share one body — shorter, but the two functions come as one part. Both filter, regulate and lubricate.

On CNC fixtures and clamping circuits running at reduced line pressure, this set cleans the shop air to 5 um, holds the regulated setting with the low-pressure type regulator, oils the downstream cylinders, and the check valve holds the circuit if supply dips.
At spray booths and finishing stations, the 5 um element strips water and particulate before the air reaches guns and hoses, the regulator sets the lower working pressure the booth needs, and the lubricator is set to feed only the tool circuits that require it.
On packaging machines with many small cylinders and actuators, one G1/2 supply point feeds filtered, regulated, lubricated air to the whole line, with the psi gauge giving operators a visible setting and the manual drain cleared during scheduled stops.
Start with the size and port step: 200, 300, 400 and 600 correspond to increasing port sizes (here 1/2 in) and increasing flow capacity, so size up if your demand sits near the top of a smaller unit's curve. Choose the drain type: manual (as coded here) means someone opens the drain at intervals; automatic and differential-pressure drains are available on the family. Choose the filter grade: 40 um is the standard element and 5 um (code W, as here) is the finer option for more demanding downstream equipment. Choose the gauge and its scale (MPa, psi or bar); this unit carries a round psi gauge. Select the thread: PT is the standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this unit is specified with G thread. A bracket is included, and the low-pressure type regulator suits circuits that operate at lower regulated pressures. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowls must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe them with a dry cloth. The lubricator adds an oil mist downstream of the regulator. If any branch of the line must stay oil-free, take that branch off before the lubricator, or use a GR400-15 regulator with a GF400-15 filter on that branch.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GC series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM figure. Send us your inlet pressure and demand and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for this size 400, G1/2 unit on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain on the filter bowl: an operator opens it periodically to expel collected water. The family also offers an automatic drain (code A) and a differential-pressure drain (the default, blank code) if you would rather not rely on manual attention. The same drain choice applies to the filter bowls across the GC family.
