The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator (GFR30008AC1W) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300 is a filter regulator: water and particulate removal plus downstream pressure regulation in a single body. This configuration, GFR30008AC1W, is the size 300 unit with a PT1/4 (1/4 in) port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, a round pressure gauge with MPa scale, and the standard regulator with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and the polycarbonate bowl is supplied with a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT (standard), G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, and gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding a bench pneumatic press or clamping fixture: the 5 um element keeps moisture and fine particles out of the cylinder valves, while the regulator holds a steady set pressure so cycle force stays repeatable. The automatic drain handles condensate between shifts.
Supplying the control-air circuit of a form-fill-seal or cartoning machine, where actuators and pilot valves need clean, regulated air at a fixed setting. The round MPa gauge lets operators verify set pressure at a glance during changeover.
Conditioning the air feed to a robotic assembly cell with grippers and air-driven tooling. Regulation protects the downstream components from supply-pressure swings, and the bracket-mounted PC bowl with automatic drain suits a cell that runs unattended.
Start with the port and size step: this unit is size 300 with a 1/4 in PT port, one step in the 200/300/400/600 range where larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow capacity. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. The remaining choices are all decodable from the code: the automatic drain here suits unattended duty where regular manual draining is impractical (manual drain variants widen the regulation range to 0.05-0.9 MPa); the 5 um element (code W) protects downstream equipment more finely than the 40 um standard; the round MPa gauge is fitted, with psi and bar scales available; and PT is the standard thread with G and NPT as order options. A mounting bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can quote. Tell us your working pressure and required flow and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The A in the code selects the automatic drain, which ejects collected condensate by itself - useful on lines that run unattended. The GFR300 is also available with a manual drain or the differential-pressure drain; note that the manual-drain variant widens the regulator adjustment range to 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), while this automatic-drain unit adjusts 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
