The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Packaging line actuator supply
Installed at the drop to a packaging conveyor's pneumatic cylinders: water and debris are knocked out of the plant air and the cylinder pressure is set and held at the level the clamp-and-release sequence needs.
Machine-shop air tool drop
Mounted on the drop feeding impact drivers and nut runners at a workbench, giving the operator a local, gauged pressure setting while the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the tools.

Is the AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator (GFR30008AF1) the Right Unit?
Start with the port step: the 300 size sits in the middle of the G range, so if your line runs above its flow band move up to 400 or 600, and step down to 200 for compact runs. The 40 um element is the standard grade for general plant air; choose the W variant for 5 um where downstream valves or instruments need finer protection. The automatic drain here empties the bowl without operator attention; pick a manual or differential-pressure drain variant if you prefer controlled draining. The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
