The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator (GFR30008ALC1W) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series combines filtration and pressure regulation in a single body: compressed air passes through a drain bowl that removes water and particulate, then through the regulator that sets downstream pressure. This configuration is the 300 size with a PT1/4 port (PT is the standard thread), an automatic drain that discharges collected condensate without operator attention, a 5 um element for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, and the low-pressure (L) regulator type. An external round pressure gauge with MPa scale is fitted, and the mounting bracket is included. Bowl material on the 300 size is polycarbonate (PC); maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, drain choices (differential-pressure, automatic, manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, G(BSPP) and NPT thread alternatives, gauge options, and bracket or no-bracket versions. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm figures from the datasheet for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning the air feed to bench-top analytical instruments and pneumatic sample-handling fixtures, where the 5 um element screens water and particulate before it reaches sensitive components.
Supplying regulated air to gripper cylinders on a packaging machine, with the automatic drain clearing condensate through continuous shifts so no one has to bleed the bowl by hand.
Point-of-use preparation for screwdriver feeders, clamps and small actuator circuits at electronics benches, holding a stable low setting where the low-pressure regulator type is the right fit.
Decodable choices in the G-series: step the size (200/300/400/600) to match the port and flow demand of the circuit; choose the drain (this unit: automatic; alternatives are the differential-pressure default and manual); pick 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration; select gauge type and scale; use PT (standard) or order G(BSPP)/NPT; keep the bracket or delete it with J. This unit is the low-pressure (L) type; the standard-type GFR with automatic drain adjusts 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and we confirm the low-pressure adjustment span for your set point on request. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so have us check sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the G-series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can quote. Send us your line pressure and application conditions and we will confirm the relevant flow data from the datasheet on request.
The L in the code marks the low-pressure regulator type, intended for circuits set below the standard range. The standard-type GFR with automatic drain adjusts 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); confirm the exact low-pressure span for your set point with us before ordering.
