The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator (GFR30008ANW) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR30008ANW is an AirTAC G-series filter regulator: one body removes water and particulate from the compressed air line and then regulates downstream pressure. This 300-size unit has a PT1/4 port, an automatic drain (A) that discharges condensate from the PC bowl without daily attention, and the W code fitting a 5 um filter element for finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. With no gauge fitted (N), downstream pressure is set on the adjuster; the auto-drain adjustment range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) against a 1.0 MPa (145 psi) maximum inlet, and the mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. GFR units come in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in; PT thread is standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as orderable options, and drain type, filter grade, gauge and bracket are all selectable. Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Flow is published as curves rather than one rated figure, so we confirm datasheet and flow figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplying air knives and blow-off nozzles that dry containers on a bottling line, where the 5 um element helps keep small orifice nozzles from clogging.
Regulating air to the small cylinders and grippers on lab automation equipment that needs finer-than-standard filtration at the point of use.
Feeding vacuum ejectors on robotic pick-and-place cells, where clean regulated supply air protects the ejector's internal channels.
Size and port step with the air demand: 300 with a 1/4 in PT port is the mid-range choice; step up to 400 or 600 for larger ports and more flow, or down to 200 for compact take-offs. The main choice here is filter grade: the W code gives a 5 um element for air feeding sensitive components, while the standard 40 um grade suits general circuit protection. The A drain suits unattended points of use; manual (M) and differential-pressure drains are the alternatives. A square gauge in MPa, psi or bar scale can be ordered in place of the N (no gauge) option. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
There is no single rated flow figure to quote: AirTAC publishes GFR capacity as flow curves. Tell us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The 40 um grade is the standard choice for general circuit protection against water and coarse particles. The W code fits a 5 um element, intended for air feeding finer components such as nozzles, ejectors and instrumentation. Both are catalogue options at the same 300 size and 1/4 in PT port, so you order the grade the application needs.
