The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator (GFR30008F3W) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series filters and regulates compressed air in a single body. This GFR300-08F3W is a size 300 unit with a 1/4 in PT port and the fine 5 um filter element, so it also strips the finer particulate that standard 40 um elements let through - the right choice ahead of air bearings, spray nozzles and close-tolerance valves. It carries a differential-pressure drain and an embedded square gauge scaled in bar. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulated output spans 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part, supplied with a mounting bracket and a polycarbonate bowl. The GFR range spans sizes 200 to 600 with automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard elements, round external gauges, NPT or G threads and no-bracket builds on request. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding benchtop test rigs and pneumatic actuators in a lab environment, the 5 um element keeps fine particulate out of precision air fittings and the regulator holds the test pressure stable.
Ahead of spray guns on a finishing line, the fine 5 um element guards against specks in the finish while the regulator lets the operator set gun inlet pressure at the point of use.
Supplying small pilot valves and pick-and-place cylinders on an assembly cell, it removes water and 5 um particles that would otherwise stick miniature spools and holds feed pressure steady.
Choose the W (5 um) element when the downstream equipment is sensitive to fine dust - spray guns, miniature valves, instrumentation - and stay with the 40 um standard where coarse protection is enough; the finer element loads faster, so the drain choice matters more. Size 300 at 1/4 in PT is the compact workhorse; step to size 400 or a larger port when the circuit demand outgrows it. The square gauge reads in bar here, with MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge as variants, and a no-bracket (J) build, check valve and NPT or G threads are orderable. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Share your line pressure and consumption profile and we will confirm the datasheet figures and correct sizing for your application on request.
The W code means a 5 um filter element that also captures the finer particles a standard 40 um element passes - useful ahead of spray equipment, small valves and instrumentation. The trade-off is faster element loading, so pairing it with an automatic drain is a sensible option if the point is unattended.
