The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator (GFR30008JC1K) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series filters and regulates compressed air in one body, and the K code on this GFR300-08JC1K adds a reverse (check) valve in the flow path. That means the regulator section holds the set pressure on the downstream side when upstream supply drops or is vented, instead of the circuit bleeding back through the unit. It is a size 300 unit with a 1/4 in PT port, a 40 um element, a differential-pressure drain and an external round gauge scaled in MPa, built without a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulated output spans 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part with a polycarbonate bowl on the filter section. The same configuration is available across sizes 200 to 600 with 5 um elements, automatic or manual drains, square embedded gauges in bar or psi, NPT or G threads and bracketed builds. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a machine drop fed from a header shared with heavy intermittent users, the check valve keeps the regulator's set pressure on the downstream side when the header dips, protecting the machine circuit.
On an automated clamping station, the reverse valve prevents the regulated side from bleeding back through the unit during supply interruptions, so clamped work is not released mid-cycle.
Supplying product blow-off nozzles above a packaging conveyor, it filters the air to 40 um, sets the nozzle pressure, and the check valve keeps the nozzle circuit charged between blasts.
Specify the K build when the downstream circuit must keep its set pressure through an upstream drop - for example where a compressor unload or a shared header would otherwise drain your regulated line back through the unit. If you do not need that retention, the standard build without the reverse valve is the plainer choice. Beyond the valve, the choices mirror the rest of the series: size 300 at 1/4 in PT for compact circuits with 400 and 600 steps for larger demand, differential-pressure drain with automatic and manual variants, 40 um standard versus 5 um W elements, an external round gauge here in MPa with bar and psi scales available, and bracketed builds if J is not right for the mount. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rated figure, and the reverse valve sits in the flow path, so we do not print a number here. Tell us your supply pressure and downstream demand and we will confirm the datasheet figures and sizing for your application on request.
The K code adds a reverse (check) valve, so if upstream supply drops or is vented, the regulated downstream side holds its pressure instead of bleeding back through the unit. It is useful on shared headers or circuits that must stay charged through interruptions; order the standard build if you do not need that.
