The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator (GFR30008MC1W) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR300-08MC1W is a genuine AirTAC G-series filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body with a drain bowl, and no lubricator. This configuration is the 300 size with 1/4 in PT ports, a manual drain, the finer 5 um (W) filter element, and an external round gauge scaled in MPa. The 5 um element suits circuits with sensitive valves or components that need cleaner air than the standard 40 um grade provides. Regulator adjustment on this manual-drain version is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi); maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, G (BSPP) and NPT thread options, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) elements, gauge choices and an optional reverse valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm figures from the datasheet for your circuit.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Bench-top analyzers and test rigs supplied from a shop-air drop need air with fine particulates removed before it reaches their internal pneumatics. The 5 um element on this 1/4 in regulator is the grade to specify for that feed.
At a spray booth, atomizing air that carries water or fine debris shows up directly in the finish. This unit filters the branch air to 5 um and holds the set pressure the spray gun and line were tuned for.
Control panels full of small pilot valves and air-operated instruments are exactly where the 5 um grade earns its place. Mounted on the panel's 1/4 in inlet, this unit cleans and regulates the supply feeding them.
This 300-size unit carries 1/4 in PT ports; move to 200, 400 or 600 if your branch line uses another port, and size against the flow the circuit demands. Drain is manual here - choose automatic for unattended lines, or the differential-pressure default otherwise. The W suffix selects the 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard, the real choice when downstream valves or actuators need finer filtration. The gauge is an external round type scaled in MPa; embedded square gauges and psi or bar scales are catalogue alternatives. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and a bracket is included. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves rather than a single rated number, so there is no one figure to quote. Tell us your supply pressure, set pressure and air demand, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The 40 um element is the standard grade and handles general plant air. Choose the W suffix when the downstream equipment - pilot valves, instruments, spray equipment - needs finer particulate removal. The element grade is the only difference the W makes on this otherwise identical 300-size, 1/4 in, manual-drain unit.
