The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010AC1W) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40010AC1W is a filter regulator: a 400 size body with 3/8 in PT ports that filters compressed air through the finer 5 um element, drains collected condensate automatically and regulates it to your set pressure, with a round external gauge reading in MPa. The W code selects the 5 um grade in place of the standard 40 um, for circuits feeding finer valves, instruments or spray equipment.
It is a genuine AirTAC part for compressed air, rated to 1.0 MPa (145 psi) maximum inlet with a regulator setting range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) and -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) operation. The 400 size carries a PC (polycarbonate) bowl and a mounting bracket; PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT versions, other sizes and drain types as catalogue options. AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rating - ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioned air for precision dispensing valves on an electronics assembly line; the 5 um element screens finer particulate ahead of the regulator.
A clean, regulated 3/8 in feed for pneumatic pumps and actuators on an automated sample-prep bench, with the MPa gauge documenting the set pressure.
Filtered, regulated air to spray guns at a finishing booth, where the 5 um grade and a steady regulator setting matter for finish quality.
The W code is the decision here: it selects the 5 um element instead of the standard 40 um grade, the choice for precision valves, instrumentation and spray equipment that want cleaner air. Everything else follows the AC1 pattern - 400 body, 3/8 in PT ports, automatic drain, round MPa gauge; manual drain (M), other gauge scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads and other body sizes are the remaining decode choices if this configuration is not an exact match. Flow for the G series is published as curves rather than a single rating, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves against pressure rather than a single rated figure, so we do not state one number. Send us the flow and working pressure of your application and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Choose W when the downstream equipment - fine valves, instruments or spray gear - needs cleaner air than the standard 40 um grade provides. Everything else on this model is unchanged: 400 size, 3/8 in PT ports, automatic drain and round MPa gauge. We confirm datasheet details on request.
