The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010AC3) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series filters and regulates compressed air in a single body: the element removes water and particulate, then the regulator sets the downstream pressure. This GFR400-10 is the size 400 unit with 3/8 in PT ports, the standard 40 um filter element, an automatic drain on the polycarbonate bowl, and a round external pressure gauge scaled in bar. With the auto-drain configuration the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). A mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part distributed in the US market. The G series spans sizes 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in; catalogue options include manual or automatic drains, a 5 um element, PT, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, gauge styles and scales, and a reverse (check) valve. Maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we will confirm datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplying the air cylinders that push, divert and stop packs on a conveyor line, the unit keeps the supply filtered and the operating pressure steady so the stroke timing programmed into the PLC stays repeatable.
Installed at a bench drop on an assembly floor, the 3/8 in unit filters general plant air to the 40 um standard and lets each operator set and read local working pressure in bar on the round gauge.
Placed upstream of a directional-valve manifold on an automated machine, the regulator sets a consistent supply pressure for the valves and the auto drain keeps condensate out of the bowl before it reaches them.
Choose size 400 with 3/8 in ports when your line's air demand matches the upper mid-range of the G series; we can check the published flow curves against your consumption. Drain: this unit is automatic (A), ejecting condensate without operator input; manual and differential-pressure drains are alternatives in the family. Filter grade is the 40 um standard, adequate for general plant air, with the 5 um (W) grade available where finer filtration is needed. The round gauge is scaled in bar; MPa or psi scales and the embedded square gauge are other options. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as orderable catalogue options. Ask us to confirm sizing against the flow curves before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC does not publish a single rated flow figure for the G series; flow is given as curves. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet curves for this size 400, 3/8 in unit so you can size it correctly before ordering.
C specifies the optional external round pressure gauge (instead of the embedded square gauge) and 3 specifies a bar scale; 1 would be MPa and 2 would be psi. The rest of the code decodes as size 400, 3/8 in PT ports, automatic drain, standard 40 um element, and no reverse valve.
