The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010AJF1WK) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400-10 pairs filtration and pressure regulation in one AirTAC G-series body on a 3/8" PT (standard thread) connection at size 400. This top-spec configuration combines the finer 5 um filter element (W), an automatic drain that clears condensate on its own, an embedded square pressure gauge with MPa scale, and a fitted reverse (check) valve that helps hold downstream pressure against supply interruptions. Outlet pressure adjusts over 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) in the automatic-drain configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series runs from size 200 to 600 with selectable ports, drains, filter grades, gauges, threads (PT/G/NPT) and the K check-valve option. Medium is compressed air only; max working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so we confirm datasheet and sizing figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding cylinder-driven gates and reject fingers on a bottling conveyor, it delivers clean, regulated air while the check valve helps hold circuit pressure during brief supply fluctuations.
On weaving or spinning machines with many small pneumatic functions, the 5 um element protects fine jets and valves and the regulator keeps actuation pressure stable across the frame.
Supplying pneumatic torque and press-fit tools at an assembly station, it maintains the set working pressure shown on the square MPa gauge and resists backflow effects from cycling tools.
This variant bundles the choices that matter most in one code: 5 um filtration for cleaner downstream air, automatic drain for unattended bowls, square MPa gauge for direct setting, and the K check valve where pressure retention downstream is wanted. Size 400 with the 3/8" PT port matches lines built to that port; larger or smaller duties step to the 600 or 200/300 sizes. If the check valve is not needed, the same unit is offered without K. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are orderable options. Bracket: J = not included. Since AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than one rated number, send us your duty point and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the G series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so no one number is quoted here. Give us your working pressure and air consumption and we will confirm the curve and full datasheet for this 5 um, check-valve configuration on request.
K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted in the unit, which helps prevent downstream pressure from being lost back toward the supply side. If your circuit does not need that function, the same GFR400-10 is available without K - a straightforward decode choice rather than a performance difference.
