The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010JC1W) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR40010JC1W is an AirTAC GFR filter regulator specified with the fine filtration option. In one 400-size body it filters the compressed air and regulates downstream pressure: the 10 port is PT3/8, filtration is the 5 um element (W code), drainage is the differential-pressure bowl (default), and a round external gauge with MPa scale is included; the J code means no mounting bracket is supplied. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); with this drain the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing, and the 400-size bowl is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with 5 um or 40 um filtration, automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, G (BSPP) and NPT thread options, and round or square gauges where a regulator is fitted. Flow is published as characteristic curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds air tables and air-bearing fixtures on measuring or assembly stations, where the 5 um element keeps fine particulate out of the orifice supply and the regulator pins the feed pressure for a stable film.
Conditions the supply to gripper and vacuum-venturi circuits on a pick-and-place cell, with the fine 5 um grade protecting the small venturi nozzles and the MPa gauge giving a fixed setpoint for repeatable part release.
Serves pneumatic drum pumps and small dosing stations in chemical handling areas, where clean, regulated drive air keeps pump cycling consistent and the gauge lets operators verify the set pressure at a glance.
Size the unit through the series steps - 200, 300, 400, 600 - against your port and flow needs; this is the 400 size with a PT3/8 port. The W code selects the 5 um element instead of the standard 40 um grade - the right call where downstream valves or tools are sensitive to fine particles. Drain is differential-pressure here (automatic and manual are the alternatives; manual widens the span to 0.05-0.9 MPa / 7-130 psi). Keep or drop the bracket and specify G (BSPP) or NPT threads if PT does not match your pipe.
Flow data for this family is published as curves, not a single rated number, so send us your application and we will confirm datasheet sizing before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
No single rated flow is published for this family - AirTAC provides flow data as characteristic curves. Share your application details and we will confirm the datasheet figures for this 400-size, 3/8 in, 5 um unit on request.
Choose the 5 um W grade when the downstream equipment is sensitive to fine particles - precision valves, venturis, air bearings and similar. The standard 40 um grade suits general workshop and machine supply air. This model carries the 5 um element; every other decode on it is standard 400-size: PT3/8 port, differential-pressure drain, round MPa gauge, no bracket.
