The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010JC1WK) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series combines filtration and pressure regulation in a single body: air is cleaned of water and particulate, then regulated downstream. This 400-size unit has a 3/8 in PT port, a 5 um filter element (W grade) for finer air than the 40 um standard, a differential-pressure drain bowl in polycarbonate, an external round gauge on the MPa scale, and a reverse (check) valve fitted so downstream pressure is held if the supply drops. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with this drain type. Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, drain, filter-grade, gauge, thread and check-valve options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm flow and datasheet details for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air feeding tool-changer and clamping circuits on a CNC machining centre, where the 5 um element protects precision valves from fine particulate.
Holding set pressure on pneumatic clamp and press fixtures, with the check valve maintaining downstream pressure during supply dips.
Regulated air to diverter and gate cylinders on a sorting conveyor module, keeping actuator speed consistent as line pressure fluctuates.
Size 400 with a 3/8 in port suits mid-size air preparation. Step up or down a size if your line flow demands it - larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow, though flow is published as curves, not one rating. The 5 um element is the right pick where finer filtration matters; the 40 um grade is the standard alternative. The differential-pressure drain (default) purges the bowl automatically at higher flow, while manual (M) and automatic (A) drains are orderable options. The external round MPa gauge is fitted here; square-gauge and psi/bar scale versions exist. This code is PT thread; G (BSPP) and T (NPT) are catalogue options. J means no mounting bracket is supplied - order a bracket if you want panel fixing. Ask us to confirm sizing against the application datasheet before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant flow and datasheet figures on request before you order.
The W-coded 5 um element filters finer than the 40 um standard, which suits sensitive directional valves and cylinders. The K-coded reverse (check) valve holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply fails - specify without K if you do not need that hold-in behaviour.
