The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010JF1W) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series provides filtration and pressure regulation in one body, and this version is specified with the W-coded 5 um filter element for finer air than the 40 um standard. It is a 400-size unit with a 3/8 in PT port, differential-pressure drain bowl, square MPa gauge and standard regulator type. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); with the differential-pressure drain, the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). The bowl at 400 size is polycarbonate and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family covers sizes 200 to 600 and ports from 1/8 to 1 in, with drain types, filter grades, gauges, threads and a check valve among the options. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm flow and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated compressed air feeding bench-top lab apparatus and pneumatic test rigs, where the 5 um element keeps fine debris out of sensitive instruments.
Prepared air for a small assembly cell running air nozzles and grippers, holding a stable regulated pressure through the shift.
Filtering and regulating supply to gauges and transducers on an engineering test bench, protecting them from water and fine particulate.
This code pairs size 400 and a 3/8 in PT port with the 5 um element - the finer grade worth choosing when downstream components tolerate little particulate. If finer filtration is unnecessary, the 40 um standard version of the same unit costs less to maintain. Size and port can be stepped up or down to match flow; since flow is given as curves, ask us to confirm the sizing against your duty. The differential-pressure drain purges the bowl automatically under flow, with manual (M) and automatic (A) drain options available. A square MPa gauge is fitted here; round-gauge and psi/bar-scale variants exist. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and T (NPT) orderable, and this J-code unit ships without a mounting bracket.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC does not publish a single rated flow for G-series units - flow is given as curves. Tell us your pressure and demand and we will confirm the appropriate figures from the datasheet on request before you order.
The W-coded 5 um element is for circuits with finer-tolerance components such as precision valves, nozzles or instruments. The 40 um grade is the default for general machine air and loads less, so choose 5 um only where the downstream equipment needs it.
