The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010LJN) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR40010LJN is a genuine AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator, combining a 40 um filter element with pressure regulation in one body fitted with a differential-pressure drain bowl. The L suffix identifies the low-pressure regulator type, intended for circuits where the regulated setting stays below the pressures handled by standard-type units. The N suffix means no pressure gauge is fitted and J means no mounting bracket is supplied; the port is PT3/8 and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) over a -5 to 70 C range.
AirTAC builds the G series in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, from 1/8 in to 1 in ports, with G (BSPP) and NPT thread versions as catalogue options. Flow is published as characteristic curves rather than one rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your duty on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Bench-top pneumatic presses and arbor presses take their downstroke air through this unit, which strips bulk water from shop air and holds a low, repeatable setting on the 3/8 in feed to the press cylinder.
Light pick-and-place gantries and vacuum-assist manipulators run best on reduced, clean air; this filter regulator conditions the 3/8 in branch feeding the gantry's lift and grip actuators.
Where a control cabinet drives remote pneumatic logic, this unit filters and reduces the 3/8 in supply to the panel's valve manifold, keeping the standard 40 um grade ahead of general-duty spool valves.
This code pairs the size 400, 3/8 in step with the standard 40 um element, which suits general plant air where only bulk water and larger particles need removing before regulation. Choose a W-suffix code instead if finer 5 um filtration is required downstream. There is no gauge in this configuration; add a gauge-code variant if the regulator will be set visually at the panel. The differential-pressure drain is automatic in operation relative to flow, while dedicated automatic (A) and manual (M) drain codes exist for other duties. J means plan for your own bracket if panel support is needed. Thread is PT as standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are separate catalogue order codes. Since AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, ask us to confirm sizing against the datasheet before ordering, along with the adjustment range of the low-pressure L type.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
The flow figure is not published as a single rating - AirTAC provides characteristic curves for the G series. Send us your supply pressure and air consumption and we will confirm the right size from the datasheet on request.
This code uses the default differential-pressure drain, which bleeds collected condensate as flow passes through the bowl. Codes with A fit a fully automatic drain and codes with M a manual drain, so choose the drain type that matches how often the unit runs unattended.
