The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010LJNW) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR40010LJNW is a genuine AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: the W suffix fits the fine 5 um element rather than the standard 40 um grade, and the L suffix makes it the low-pressure regulator type for circuits set well below line pressure. Filtration and regulation share one body with a differential-pressure drain bowl. The N suffix omits the pressure gauge and J omits the mounting bracket. The port is PT3/8, maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C.
The G series is offered by AirTAC in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads available as order options alongside the PT standard. AirTAC states flow as characteristic curves rather than a single rated number, so we confirm the flow and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Spray guns and coating applicators are sensitive to particles in the air line; this unit filters the 3/8 in booth supply to 5 um and holds the low atomization-support pressure the applicator needs.
On a machining center, the air-blast chip-clearing nozzles and door interlock cylinders draw from a clean, reduced-pressure branch; the 5 um element keeps fine debris out of the nozzle orifices and interlock valve.
Pilot-operated valves and air-operated sensing devices clog easily; conditioning their shared 3/8 in pilot line through this 5 um filter regulator protects the small orifices while keeping pressure low and steady.
Pick this 5 um code when the 3/8 in, size 400 step is right for your volume but downstream devices - precision valves, air motors, spray equipment - need finer protection than the 40 um standard element gives. If bulk filtration is enough, the equivalent non-W code saves the finer element. There is no gauge and no bracket in this code, so order a gauge variant if the setting will be read at the unit, and plan your own mounting if panel support is required. The differential-pressure drain is the default; automatic (A) and manual (M) drain codes cover unattended or manual-blowdown duties. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue alternatives. Because flow is published only as curves, ask us to confirm sizing - and the low-pressure L-type adjustment range - against the datasheet before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
There is no single rated flow figure to quote - AirTAC publishes the G series as flow curves only. Share your supply pressure and consumption and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet on request so you can size with confidence.
The W suffix in this code fits the 5 um element, which is the right choice ahead of fine orifices, spray nozzles and precision valves. The 40 um standard grade is adequate for general cylinders and larger spool valves, so match the grade to the most sensitive device downstream.
