The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010LN) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR40010LN is a genuine AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator with the 40 um standard element and pressure regulation in one body, drained by the differential-pressure bowl. The L suffix marks it as the low-pressure regulator type, suited to circuits where the set pressure remains well below full line pressure. The N suffix means no gauge is fitted, while the bracket position is blank, so the mounting bracket is included. The port is PT3/8, maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the unit operates from -5 to 70 C.
AirTAC offers the G series in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in; G (BSPP) and NPT thread versions are catalogue options ordered by suffix. Flow for the series is published as characteristic curves, not a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow numbers for your duty on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

A maintenance bench fed from the shop main gets clean, reduced-pressure air for air guns, small impact tools and test rigs; the included bracket lets this unit be mounted right at the drop regulator position.
On machines where the conditioning unit sits on the frame beside the valve stack, the bracket fixes the GFR400 in place and the 3/8 in port matches the branch feeding the machine's control valves.
Sorting conveyors use pneumatic gates, stops and pushers that run at gentle pressures; this unit filters the 3/8 in branch to the standard 40 um grade and holds the low setting those actuators need.
This is the size 400, 3/8 in low-pressure filter regulator with the standard 40 um element and the bracket fitted - the straightforward choice when the unit will be wall- or machine-mounted next to the air drop. Move to a W code if 5 um filtration is needed, or to an N-code-with-gauge variant if the setting must be read at the unit. The differential-pressure drain is built into this code; dedicated automatic (A) and manual (M) drain codes exist for other maintenance patterns. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as order suffixes. As AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, ask us to confirm sizing against the datasheet - including the adjustment range of the low-pressure L type - before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC does not publish a single rated flow number for the G series - flow is given as characteristic curves only. Tell us your supply pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet on request.
This code carries the PT standard thread on its 3/8 in port. G (BSPP) and NPT versions exist as separate catalogue suffixes you can order, so choose the thread family that matches your fittings when placing the order.
