The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator (GFR40010MLJC1) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series delivers filtration and pressure regulation in one body: air passes through the element, then the regulator, with the bowl trapping water and particulate. This GFR40010MLJC1 is the 400 size with a 3/8 in PT port, the low-pressure regulator type, the standard 40 um element, a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, an external round pressure gauge on the MPa scale, and no mounting bracket (J) - useful where the unit mounts directly to a manifold or machine face. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); with the manual drain, the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. Sizes 200 to 600 (1/8 in to 1 in ports) are available across the G series, with automatic or differential-pressure drain options, the 5 um W element, embedded square or external round gauges on psi and bar scales, G (BSPP) and NPT threads, and GFC or GC combinations when lubrication is needed. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Regulates supply to dobbies, trumpets and pneumatic guides on a weaving or spinning frame, mounting directly to the machine's manifold plate without a bracket.
Feeds the gate and pusher cylinders that pace bottles between filler and capper, with the MPa round gauge visible for line-change pressure checks.
Supplies clamp and positioning actuators on an end-of-line palletizer, where the 40 um element handles general-shop air ahead of the valves.
The 400 body and 3/8 in port suit circuits above 1/4 in duty; step to GFR300 for smaller drops or GFR600 for 3/4-1 in mains. J omits the bracket, so plan for direct mounting to a manifold plate, panel or machine frame; the bracketed version is the standard build if you need wall fixing. Manual drain (M) fits attended stations; automatic and differential-pressure versions suit out-of-the-way installs. The standard 40 um element covers general water and particle removal; add W for 5 um on finer circuits. The MPa round gauge is fitted here, with square-gauge and psi/bar options in the catalogue. Thread is PT as standard; order G or NPT for other pipework. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC does not publish a single rated flow figure for the G series - flow is given as curves. Send us your pressure and demand figures and we will confirm the sizing from the GFR400 datasheet on request.
J deletes the mounting bracket, so this unit is intended for direct mounting to a manifold, panel or machine surface. The same model without J includes the bracket. If you also want to change the thread from the PT standard, the G (BSPP) and T (NPT) suffixes are catalogue options.
