The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015AC1W) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015AC1W is a G-series filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body. In this configuration the 400 size unit carries a 1/2 in PT port, the finer 5 um filter element (W grade), an automatic drain bowl that ejects condensate without operator attention, and an external round pressure gauge with an MPa scale. It suits air circuits where finer particulate removal matters as well as steady downstream pressure.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with PT, G and NPT thread options, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um filtration, and gauge variants. Max working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with this drain type. Flow is published as curves, so ask us to confirm the datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Finer 5 um filtered, regulated supply to lab analysers and sample-handling pneumatics that are sensitive to particulate in the air line.
Water and fine-particle removal ahead of air-spray guns and coating applicators, with the regulator holding a stable atomising pressure.
Point-of-use conditioning for air tools and torque equipment in maintenance workshops, where the gauge lets operators set and check tool pressure.
This 400 size unit is fitted with a 1/2 in PT port; size up to 600 or down to 300/200 against the pipe and flow demand. The A suffix gives an automatic drain, the low-maintenance bowl option. The W suffix selects the 5 um element instead of the standard 40 um - choose it for instruments, spray equipment and other circuits sensitive to finer particles, accepting that finer elements load faster and need checking more often. The C1 suffix orders an external round gauge in MPa; psi and bar scales and the embedded square gauge are the alternatives. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as characteristic curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not state a number. Note also that a 5 um element can load faster than the standard 40 um grade. Send us your flow requirement and we will confirm the datasheet figures on request.
The W suffix selects 5 um filtration instead of the standard 40 um. Choose it when the downstream equipment - instruments, spray nozzles, precision valves - needs finer particulate removal. For general plant air and cylinder circuits, the standard 40 um grade in the same code without W is usually sufficient.
