The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015AF1K) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015AF1K is a GFR-series filter regulator fitted with the K-option reverse (check) valve, which holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted. Beyond that option it is identical in function: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation in one body, size 400 with PT1/2 ports, automatic drain, 40 um standard element, and the embedded square gauge with MPa scale. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); setting range with automatic drain is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200 to 600 with PT, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, a choice of drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) elements, optional check valve, and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm datasheet figures for your duty on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a pneumatic press circuit, filtration and regulation condition the supply while the built-in check valve helps hold the set pressure at the press cylinder if the plant air drops.
Feeding stoppers and diverter cylinders on a bottling conveyor, the unit filters and regulates the supply, with the check valve holding the stopped-load pressure during brief supply dips.
At a loading dock, the unit conditions and regulates air to leveller and restraint actuators, and the automatic drain copes with condensate in a damp, unattended environment.
Choose the K suffix when trapped downstream pressure matters, for example to keep a clamp or cylinder loaded during a supply dropout. Size 400 with 1/2 inch ports serves higher-demand lines; step to 600 if the curves require it. Automatic drain keeps draining unattended (0.15-0.9 MPa range); manual drain widens the range to 0.05-0.9 MPa. The 40 um element is standard, W gives 5 um. Thread is PT as standard, with G and NPT as orderable options, and a bracket is included.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
Flow for the GFR series is published by AirTAC as characteristic curves rather than one rated figure, so we do not state a number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet figures and correct sizing on request before you order.
K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply fails. Everything else is unchanged: PT1/2 ports, automatic drain, 40 um element, square MPa gauge, 1.0 MPa maximum inlet and a 0.15-0.9 MPa setting range.
