The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015AJF1K) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015AJF1K is an AirTAC G-series filter regulator: filtration plus pressure regulation in a single 400-size body with a PT 1/2 in port, fitted with a reverse/check valve (K suffix). This configuration has an automatic drain, the standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge with MPa scale, and is ordered without a mounting bracket. With automatic drain the regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The 400 size uses a polycarbonate bowl; only the 600 size uses aluminium alloy.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter regulator range runs across sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and is configurable by drain type (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um with W), gauge type and scale, thread (PT standard; G and NPT as catalogue options), bracket and check valve. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so we confirm the exact flow and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditions the supply to screwdriver feeders and pressing modules in an automated assembly cell, with the built-in check valve helping hold the regulated circuit when upstream air is interrupted.
Sits at the air inlet of a form-fill-seal machine's control panel, filtering and regulating the air feeding the pilot valves, with the MPa square gauge giving a clear set-point reference.
Supplies regulated air to the pneumatic pilot and pump-unloading circuit of a hydraulic power pack, where the 40 um element keeps debris out of the small pilot valves.
Match the size series (200/300/400/600) and port to the line's flow demand; this 400-size unit has a 1/2 in PT port. The K suffix here adds a reverse/check valve - select K when you want that function built in, otherwise order the code without it. The automatic drain relieves you of manual condensate draining; manual and differential-pressure drains are the other options. Filtration is the standard 40 um element; add W for 5 um. The embedded square gauge reads in MPa; round external gauges and psi or bar scales are orderable. Thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options, and a mounting bracket can be added since this code is without one. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as one rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Share your inlet pressure, regulated set point and consumption and we will confirm the flow for this exact model from the datasheet on request before you order.
The K in GFR40015AJF1K means a reverse/check valve is fitted to the filter regulator, whereas the same code without K is supplied without one. Everything else decodes the same: 400 size, PT 1/2 in port, automatic drain, 40 um element and a square MPa gauge. This remains a filter regulator only - no lubrication function.
