The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015AJF1WK) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR40015AJF1WK is a genuine AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in one body, with a drain bowl and no lubricator. This configuration is size 400 with a PT 1/2 port (PT thread as standard), automatic drain, a 5 um filter element (code W), a square gauge with MPa scale (F1) and a reverse (check) valve fitted (K). The J suffix means it is supplied without a mounting bracket. Regulator adjustment range for this automatic-drain version is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, PT, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um filtration, and gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar. The polycarbonate bowl on 200-400 sizes (600 is aluminium alloy) gives a clear view of condensate. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm flow and other datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditions and regulates the 1/2 inch air feed to a bench-mounted pneumatic press on an assembly line; the fitted check valve holds the downstream setting if the shop supply dips.
Prepares air for pneumatic actuators and sample-handling cylinders on a lab automation bench, where the 5 um element protects sensitive directional valves from particulates.
Feeds regulated air to conveyor-mounted diverter and stopper cylinders on a packaging line, with the automatic drain clearing condensate during continuous shifts.
Size 400 with a 1/2 inch port is the larger mid-range step in the GFR series; step down to 300 or up to 600 if your demand differs, and ask us to confirm sizing against the published flow curves before ordering. Drain: automatic is the low-attention choice; manual requires routine cycling; differential-pressure is the default. Filter grade: 5 um (W) for finer downstream protection, 40 um for standard duty. Gauge: F1 gives the square gauge with MPa scale; psi (2) or bar (3) scales are alternatives. Thread: PT is standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options to order. The J code omits the optional mounting bracket.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for GFR filter regulators as performance curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not quote one here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and full datasheet figures for this 400-size, 1/2 inch port unit on request.
The W in the code selects the optional 5 um filter element instead of the standard 40 um grade, giving finer particulate protection. The K suffix fits a reverse (check) valve, which blocks backflow through the unit. A 40 um version without the valve is available as GFR40015AJN if that suits the job better.
