The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015AJNWK) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15-AJNWK is a size 400 filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single body with a drain bowl. This configuration gives you a 1/2 in PT thread, an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without operator attention, a standard 40 um filter element, no gauge fitted, and a built-in reverse (check) valve. With no bracket (J suffix), the unit is intended to be mounted on the machine or manifold it serves.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter regulator line spans sizes 200 to 600, with larger sizes offering larger ports and higher flow capacity, and options including G (BSPP) or T (NPT) threads, manual or automatic drains, a 5 um element, gauges and bracket choices. Flow is published as capacity curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm the datasheet numbers for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air feeding tool-change cylinders and clamps on a machining centre, with the check valve holding downstream pressure during inlet dips.
Conditioning the air that drives diverters, sealers and pusher cylinders on a carton packaging line, with automatic condensate drainage keeping the bowl clear between shifts.
Filtered, set-pressure air for quarter-turn pneumatic actuators on a process skid, where the check valve prevents backflow through the prep station.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in PT port sits in the upper-middle of the G-series range - step up to size 600 if your line demands more flow, or down to 300 for compact actuator circuits. The automatic drain suits unmanned or hard-to-reach installations; choose manual drain if you prefer controlled, scheduled blowdown. The standard 40 um element protects most actuators and valves; order the W variant for 5 um filtration where finer protection is needed.
This unit carries no gauge (N) and a reverse/check valve is fitted (K). Thread is PT as standard; G (BSPP) and T (NPT) are catalogue alternatives. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes filter regulator capacity as flow curves across pressure settings, not as one rated figure, so quoting a single number would be misleading. Send us your inlet pressure, set pressure and required consumption and we will confirm the correct datasheet figures on request.
A = automatic drain, J = no mounting bracket, N = no gauge fitted, and K = a reverse (check) valve is built in. Size 400 with port 15 gives a 1/2 in PT thread, and the standard 40 um filter element is fitted.
