The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015ANK) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series filters and regulates compressed air in one body: a drain bowl strips water and particulate, then the regulator sets downstream pressure. This GFR40015ANK is the size 400 unit with a 1/2 in PT port, an automatic drain, the standard 40 um element, and a reverse (check) valve fitted so air cannot flow back through the unit. Regulation spans 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) on this automatic-drain version, maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and no gauge is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the G-series air-treatment range, with a PC (polycarbonate) bowl and a bracket included. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, drain, element-grade, gauge, thread and check-valve options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure; we confirm the datasheet and sizing on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Regulates and filters air to a small pneumatic bench press, with the fitted check valve holding the line against backflow when the upstream supply is shut off between cycles.
Feeds the cylinder-operated gates and stops of a bottling conveyor, where filtered air and a stable regulated setting keep bottle spacing consistent through the shift.
Supplies regulated air to the clamp cylinders of a robotic welding fixture, with the check valve helping maintain the set pressure on the fixture side of the unit.
Choose the size step (200, 300, 400 or 600) against the air demand of your circuit - this size 400 carries a 1/2 in port. Add K to the code when a reverse-flow condition is possible in the line, as on this model. Drain options are differential-pressure (default), automatic (code A, as here) and manual (code M). The standard element is 40 um, with a 5 um W variant available; gauges are optional (embedded square or external round, in MPa, psi or bar scales); and thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) or NPT to order. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
We do not quote a single rated flow because AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves, not one number. Share your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve and verify that this size 400, 1/2 in unit with check valve is correctly sized, on request.
K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted inside the unit, so air cannot flow backwards through it. The base GFR40015AN without the K is the same filter regulator without that valve - choose K where downstream backflow would otherwise be a problem.
