The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015C1G) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series combines filtration and pressure regulation in a single body: water and particulate are stripped from the compressed air and the downstream pressure is held at a set level. This GFR40015C1G is the size 400 unit with a G1/2 (1/2 inch BSPP) parallel port, standard 40 um element, differential-pressure drain and an external round gauge scaled in MPa.
It is a genuine AirTAC part for compressed air only, rated to 1.0 MPa (145 psi) inlet, with a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) adjustment range in this differential-drain configuration and a -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) operating temperature. The size 400 bowl is polycarbonate. The G range also covers sizes 200 to 600 with automatic or manual drains, the 5 um W element, NPT or PT threads and check-valve options. Flow figures are published as curves, so we confirm them against your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplies filtered, regulated air to the solenoid valves and actuators on a process skid piped in BSPP, with the gauge verifying set pressure at the panel.
Conditions the 1/2 inch air main feeding lint-blow jets and fabric-guide cylinders on textile machinery, protecting valves from water and fibre debris.
Feeds the FRL-less input of an automation cell's valve manifold bank, dropping plant pressure to the control level the manifold valves are specified for.
This code is specified with the G (BSPP) parallel thread, which suits equipment piped to ISO 228/BSPP standards; order the T suffix for NPT or leave the suffix off for PT. Size 400 with a 1/2 inch port is the middle step of the G range - step to 600 for larger lines or 300 for lighter demand. Drain choices are the default differential-pressure type here, or manual (M) and automatic (A). The 40 um element is standard; add W for 5 um filtration. The C1 round MPa gauge is fitted on this code, and a bracket is included. Sizing should be checked against the datasheet curves, so ask us to confirm flow before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves rather than a single rated number, so quoting a fixed flow would be guesswork. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and consumption and we will confirm the correct size from the datasheet on request.
The trailing G makes the 1/2 inch port G (BSPP) parallel thread, the standard on much European and BSPP-piped equipment, while the base code uses PT. It is a specification choice to match your existing pipework - the ports are the same size, only the thread form differs, and both are orderable catalogue options.
