The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015C3) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015C3 is a G-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a steady downstream pressure in one body, with no lubricator. This 400-size unit carries a PT1/2 port (PT is the standard thread), the standard 40 um filter element, the differential-pressure drain as coded, and an external round gauge with bar scale (C3). No reverse/check valve is fitted, a mounting bracket is included, and the 400 size uses a polycarbonate bowl. Regulated output is adjustable from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with this drain type; maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family runs in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, and offers drain choices, a 5 um element option (W), round or square gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G or NPT threads as catalogue alternatives to PT. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm flow and full datasheet details on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Air preparation for the diverter and stopper cylinders on a parcel-sorting conveyor, where the bar-scale gauge lets maintenance staff check setpoints at a glance during shift handovers.
Filtered, regulated air to the sample-transfer cylinders and pinch valves on a laboratory handling station, with the 40 um element suited to general compressed-air quality ahead of local fine filtration.
Regulated shop-air supply for door and tail-lift actuator test rigs in a commercial-vehicle service bay, so technicians can set and read test pressures in bar on the round gauge.
Match the size and port to the total air demand of the circuit: 400 with a 1/2 inch port is the middle step of the 200-600 range, and upsizing or downsizing changes port and flow capacity together. Drain can be differential-pressure (as coded), automatic (A) or manual (M); the element stays at the 40 um standard unless the W code orders 5 um; and this unit carries the C3 round gauge reading in bar - square gauges and MPa or psi scales are alternatives. Thread is PT, with G (BSPP) and NPT orderable. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
There is no single rated flow figure to quote: AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves. Tell us the circuit and its air demand and we will confirm the flow and correct size from the datasheet on request before you order.
C3 is the external round pressure gauge with bar scale. Alternatives on the same 400 size are a round MPa gauge (C1) or an embedded square gauge with MPa (F1), psi (F2) or bar (F3) scales; N omits the gauge entirely.
