The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015F1K) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15F1K is a filter regulator in the G-series 400 frame: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a downstream pressure you set, in one body. This configuration has a 1/2 in PT port, the standard 40 um filter element, a differential-pressure drain, an embedded square gauge reading in MPa, and the K-option reverse/check valve that blocks reverse flow if upstream supply drops. With this drain type, regulator adjustment spans 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part distributed for the US market. G-series filter regulators run from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options include 5 um (W) elements, automatic or manual drains, psi or bar gauge scales, G or NPT threads, and a no-bracket variant. The 400-size bowl is polycarbonate (PC), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Because rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, we confirm sizing and datasheet details on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a bottling hall conveyor, air-cylinder gates and stopper pins need steady downstream pressure even when the compressor station cycles. This unit filters plant air to 40 um, regulates it to the setpoint on its MPa gauge, and the reverse/check valve stops the circuit dumping if upstream supply dips.
Rack-and-pinion actuators on a water-treatment valve skid draw filtered, regulated air from this unit. The check-valve option holds actuator supply pressure through compressor changeover so valve positions stay where they were set.
At a half-inch drop off a factory ring main, this filter regulator conditions air before it feeds distribution manifolds, and the embedded square MPa gauge lets maintenance verify set pressure at a glance.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in PT port sits toward the larger end of the G-series range; step up or down (200/300/400/600) according to the flow your line needs and the port your pipework takes. The K option adds the reverse/check valve, useful where a supply dip must not dump downstream pressure. Drain is differential-pressure by default; automatic (A) or manual (M) can be specified instead, and the regulation span depends on that choice. The F1 suffix is the embedded square gauge with MPa scale; psi (2) and bar (3) scales are orderable. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options.
Flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your demand figures and we will confirm the right size against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the G series as curves, not a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your line demand and operating pressure and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
It is the default drain on this unit: condensate is expelled automatically only when the differential across the bowl reaches a threshold, with no extra actuation needed. Automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are orderable alternatives, and the regulator adjustment range depends on the drain type fitted.
