The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015JC1) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15JC is a filter regulator in the G-series 400 frame: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a downstream pressure you set, in one body. The J option omits the mounting bracket, and the C1 option fits the external round gauge with MPa scale instead of the embedded square gauge. This configuration also carries a 1/2 in PT port, the standard 40 um filter element and a differential-pressure drain. With this drain type, regulator adjustment spans 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi); maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part distributed for the US market. G-series filter regulators run from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options include 5 um (W) elements, automatic or manual drains, psi or bar gauge scales, a reverse/check valve (K), G or NPT threads, and the bracket-included standard variant. The 400-size bowl is polycarbonate (PC), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Because rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, we confirm sizing and datasheet details on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a service truck with an onboard compressor, the 1/2 in PT ports feed an impact-wrench and blowing-gun circuit. The external round MPa gauge can be read from outside a protective enclosure, and with no bracket fitted the body sits directly in the line.
A maintenance workshop bench drop feeding hand-held air tools: the 40 um element handles general plant air, regulation is set and checked on the round MPa gauge, and the bracketless body fits tight under the bench manifold.
Behind a machine control panel, this unit conditions air for solenoid valve stacks. The external round gauge mounts through the panel door for easy reading, and the 1/2 in PT ports match the panel's main supply tapping.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in PT port suits larger G-series duties; step the size (200/300/400/600) to match the flow your circuit needs and the port your pipework takes. Drain is differential-pressure by default; automatic (A) or manual (M) can be ordered, and the regulation span depends on that choice. Filtration is the standard 40 um element - choose the W variant if 5 um is needed. This version omits the bracket (J) for direct line or panel fitting and uses the external round gauge with MPa scale (C1); psi (2) and bar (3) scales are available. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options.
Flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rating, so share your demand figures with us and we will confirm the right size against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the G series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your air demand and working pressure and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet curves on request.
The embedded square gauge is standard on G-series regulators; the C1 option on this unit specifies the optional external round gauge instead, with MPa scale. Scale 2 is psi and scale 3 is bar if you prefer a different unit, and the choice is made at ordering.
