The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015JF1) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40015JF1 is an AirTAC GFR series filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at a set point. This 400-size unit is specified with a PT1/2 port, the standard 40 um filter element, the default differential-pressure drain and the built-in square gauge scaled in MPa. The regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
It is a genuine AirTAC part, rated -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), with a polycarbonate bowl at the 400 size. The G series runs from 200 to 600 size with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, and offers automatic or manual drains, a 5 um element (W), a check valve (K) and alternative gauge scales. Published flow is given as a curve rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and the right size for your line.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Placed ahead of the pneumatic clamps and vise actuators on a vertical machining center, this unit gives the cell a single filtered, regulated supply at the pressure the fixture designer set.
Feeds the atomizing air header of a spray booth: the 40 um element takes out water and pipe scale ahead of the guns while the regulator holds atomizing pressure at the set point.
On a case-taping or carton-sealing conveyor line, this unit conditions and regulates the air feeding the taping-head and flap-fold cylinders along the line.
Size up by port and demand: 400 with a PT1/2 port is one step above the 300 series, so take it when a 300 would sit near the top of its curve. Drain is a real choice on this family - the differential-pressure drain on this code is the default, with automatic (A) or manual (M) available on the same body. The element here is the standard 40 um grade; specify the W code for 5 um if the downstream equipment needs finer filtration. Gauge scale can be MPa, psi or bar at order time, thread can be G (BSPP) or NPT instead of the PT standard, and the J suffix means no mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves, not as a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can quote. Send us your inlet pressure and demand and we will confirm the datasheet and flow curve for the GFR400 so you can size it against your application before ordering.
Differential-pressure drain is the default drain type for this series. The alternatives on the same GFR400-15 body are the automatic (A) and manual (M) codes - if your maintenance routine prefers a drain that cycles on its own or one you trigger yourself, order the corresponding code instead.
