The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015LJNW) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015LJNW is a genuine AirTAC G-series filter regulator: a 1/2 in element and a pressure-adjusting valve combined in one body. This 400-size model has a PT1/2 port, the differential-pressure drain as standard, and the W code for the finer 5 um filtration grade instead of the standard 40 um element. The L code marks the low-pressure regulator type, J means no mounting bracket, and N means no gauge is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the G series, available in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes. Medium is compressed air only; maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning the air feed to spray-equipment atomising air and low-pressure holding circuits, where the 5 um element keeps fines out of the air cap and the low set pressure is held steady between colour changes.
Feeding positioner and pilot-air circuits on large quarter-turn valves, where clean 5 um air protects the pilot orifice and the low-pressure regulator type matches the pilot supply pressure.
Supplying low-pressure air to laboratory bench rigs and test stations at 1/2 in, filtering the building supply to 5 um and holding a gentle regulated pressure for delicate fixtures.
Choose this code over the plain GFR40015 when the downstream valves or instruments need cleaner air than the standard 40 um element delivers - the W option gives 5 um filtration. The 400 size steps up in port and flow capacity from the 300 series, with a PT1/2 PT-threaded port (G and NPT are order options). Drain is differential-pressure as standard; automatic and manual drain variants exist in the family. As a low-pressure L type with no bracket and no gauge, confirm the adjustment window and gauge options with us - we check the datasheet with you before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
We do not state a single rated flow because AirTAC publishes G-series flow as characteristic curves, not one number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet curve on request so you can size the unit correctly before ordering.
The W code replaces the standard 40 um element with a 5 um one, suiting pilot circuits, instruments and coatings work where finer particulate matters. Everything else in the code stays the same: 1/2 in PT port, differential-pressure drain, low-pressure L type, no bracket, no gauge.
