The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015MC1) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series combines an air filter and a pressure regulator in one body: water and particulate are separated out into the drain bowl, and downstream pressure is then held at your set value. This 400-size unit is ported PT1/2, carries 40 um standard filtration, uses a manual drain, and includes an external round pressure gauge reading in MPa.
This is a genuine AirTAC part, not a lookalike. The G series runs from size 200 to 600, so you can step port size and flow capacity up or down without changing families. Rated inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) on this manual-drain version, and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm datasheet numbers for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding the clamping cylinder on a pneumatic stamping press, where the operator sets and holds working pressure between shifts and drains the bowl during routine checks.
Conditioning supply air ahead of the directional valve island that drives box-eject and fold cylinders on a packaging machine's main air drop.
Supplying the hold-down and diverter cylinders along a bottling conveyor, with the 1/2 in port matching the plant's main pneumatic header.
Pick the size from your pipe and circuit demand: the 400 body with 1/2 in PT ports suits mid-to-large pneumatic circuits, and the same functions are available in 200, 300 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 to 1 in. Drain choices are differential-pressure (default), automatic (A) or manual (M, this model); note the regulator range is 0.05-0.9 MPa with a manual drain versus 0.15-0.9 MPa with the automatic or differential-pressure versions. Filtration is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W suffix, gauge options are the embedded square type or this external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads are order options beside the standard PT. AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not one rated number, so send us your application and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no rated flow number to quote. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant curve and datasheet figures before you order.
M means the bowl is drained by hand, which is simple and dependable where someone is on site regularly. Choose the A suffix for automatic draining or leave the drain position blank for the default differential-pressure drain; the regulator range is 0.05-0.9 MPa with a manual drain versus 0.15-0.9 MPa with the other two.
