The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015MC1K) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series combines an air filter and a pressure regulator in one body: water and particulate are separated into the drain bowl, and downstream pressure is held at your set value. This 400-size unit is ported PT1/2, carries 40 um standard filtration, uses a manual drain, and includes an external round pressure gauge reading in MPa. The K suffix adds a built-in reverse (check) valve, which helps hold downstream pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part, not a lookalike. The G series runs from size 200 to 600, so you can step port and flow capacity without changing families. Rated inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) on this manual-drain version, and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm datasheet numbers for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplying the fixture clamps on a machining cell, where the check valve helps hold set pressure at the fixture if the upstream main dips or is isolated.
Conditioning air for the vacuum and gripper circuit of a palletizing cell, with the 1/2 in port matching the machine's main drop and manual drain tied into shift maintenance.
Feeding a pneumatic leak-test bench where a stable, retained downstream setting between the regulator and the test circuit matters run to run.
This code differs from the base GFR40015MC1 only by the K suffix, which fits a reverse/check valve in the body - select it when you want downstream pressure retained against backflow or supply dips. Otherwise the choices are the same: 400 size with 1/2 in PT ports, manual drain (A gives automatic, blank gives differential-pressure), 40 um standard filtration or 5 um with W, and an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales. G (BSPP) and NPT threads are order options beside the standard PT. Flow is published as curves rather than one rated number, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
Yes, but not from a single rated figure - AirTAC publishes G-series flow as performance curves, not one rated number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the relevant datasheet curve and figures before you order.
K adds a built-in reverse/check valve to the standard filter regulator. The M still means a manual drain, drained by hand; choose the A suffix for automatic draining or blank for the default differential-pressure drain, remembering the regulator range is 0.05-0.9 MPa with a manual drain versus 0.15-0.9 MPa with the other two.
