The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015MJC1K) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15MJC1K is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single body. This 400-size unit carries a 1/2 in PT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, a standard 40 um filter element, an external round pressure gauge reading in MPa, and a built-in reverse (check) valve that holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply drops. With the J option no mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with a choice of ports, drain types, 40 um or 5 um elements, gauge styles and G or NPT thread options. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); with the manual drain fitted the regulated output spans 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplies filtered, regulated air to clamp and unclamp cylinders on a CNC fixture, with the check valve holding clamp pressure if the shop supply dips mid-cycle.
Feeds clean, pressure-stabilised air to pneumatic control valve actuator loops on a process skid, protecting positioners from water and debris in the line.
Conditions the air feeding divert gates, stoppers and pusher cylinders on a carton conveyor line, keeping actuator speeds consistent shift after shift.
Work from the port step: the 400 size gives a 1/2 in connection, one step up from the 300 series, so step up if your line velocity and demand point that way. Drain type matters: manual drain means someone bleeds the bowl, whereas automatic or differential-pressure drains do it for you. The 40 um element here is the standard grade; choose the W option (5 um) for finer protection. The MPa round gauge is included in this configuration, and the K option adds a check valve for pressure retention. PT thread is standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are orderable options. No bracket is fitted (J) but one can be ordered.
Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves and not a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes filter-regulator performance as flow curves rather than one rated number, so quoting a single figure would be misleading. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet curves and correct sizing for your application.
The M in the code is a manual drain: the bowl is bled by hand, and it widens the regulator's adjustment range to 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). The K is a reverse (check) valve that keeps downstream pressure from bleeding back if the supply fails. If you prefer hands-off drainage, choose an automatic (A) or differential-pressure drain version instead.
