The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015MJF1K) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR series combines a compressed-air filter and a pressure regulator in one body: water and particulate are removed in the drain bowl, and the downstream pressure is set to the level your equipment needs. This GFR40015MJF1K is the 400 size with a 1/2 in PT thread, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, the standard 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa, and a reverse (check) valve fitted so downstream pressure is retained if the upstream supply drops. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with this manual-drain version. Operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G series is offered in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes, with G, NPT or PT threads, automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 5 um (W) or standard 40 um elements, gauge and bracket options, and the check-valve (K) variant. Flow for this model is published as a curve rather than a single rated figure; ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Supplies filtered, regulated air to clamp and hold-down cylinders on a fixture line. The fitted check valve keeps the set clamping pressure in the circuit if the upstream supply dips during a press cycle.
Installed at the 1/2 in drop feeding a machine's directional valve stack, cleaning line-scale moisture and particles out of the plant air and setting the supply pressure the valve stack was sized for.
Feeds carton sealers and case packers on a packaging line, where the operator reads the MPa gauge and dials the working pressure the machine's cylinders and actuators need.
Step up from a 300 to this 400 body when your line is plumbed in 1/2 in pipe and your compressor-side flow demand sits above what the smaller ports serve; the 600 size is the next step for 3/4 in and 1 in headers. The M in the code means manual drain: someone vents the bowl by hand, which suits positions that are checked daily. Choose automatic (A) for unattended drains and the default differential-pressure drain where you want automatic draining driven by the pressure drop across the element. This unit carries the standard 40 um element; order the W suffix for 5 um when finer protection is needed. The embedded square gauge reads in MPa; psi or bar scales and an external round gauge are catalogue options. PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT versions can be ordered as specifications. The J suffix here means the mounting bracket is not included - order a bracket if you panel-mount. Because flow is published as curves and not as one rated number, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this model as a curve across pressures, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your working pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for your operating point on request before you order.
The K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, so downstream pressure is held when upstream supply falls - useful on clamping and holding circuits. The M means the bowl is drained by hand, and with manual drain the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Versions without K omit the valve, and A or blank drain codes give automatic or differential-pressure draining.
