The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015MJNW) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR40015MJNW combines filtration and pressure regulation in one body. This 400-size unit has PT1/2 ports, a manual drain bowl, and the 5 um fine filter element (W grade) for cleaner air than the standard 40 um grade, with no gauge fitted. There is no check valve in this version.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the G series, which covers sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration and a choice of drain types. Max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); working temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Provides 5 um-filtered, regulated air to test benches and instrumentation panels fed at 1/2 inch, where particulate downstream of the unit matters.
Conditions supply air for powder coating equipment at 1/2 inch, using the fine element to reduce particulate carry-over to the spray area.
Filters and regulates air to valve and actuator control panels on process lines, with manual drainage scheduled during operator rounds.
Choose the 400 size with 1/2 inch PT ports where your line port size and air demand call for the larger G-series step; drop to 300 or 200 for smaller circuits. The W grade here gives 5 um filtration - select the plain code instead if 40 um standard filtration is sufficient. The manual drain suits attended installations; pick automatic or differential-pressure drain codes for unattended drainage. No gauge and no mounting bracket are fitted under this code.
Because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are available as catalogue options.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
There is no single rated flow figure to quote: AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves. Share your required flow and operating pressure and we will confirm the datasheet figures for this 400-size, 1/2 inch-port unit on request so you can size it correctly.
The W grade filters to 5 um instead of the standard 40 um, giving cleaner air for instrumentation, spraying and similar duties. It is the same GFR400 body with PT1/2 ports and manual drain; only the element grade differs. Choose 40 um where standard protection of valves and cylinders is enough.
