The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15 Filter Regulator (GFR40015MLJN) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR40015MLJN is an AirTAC G-series filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in a single 400-size body with a PT1/2 port. This configuration has a manual drain bowl, the low-pressure regulator type, no mounting bracket, and the N suffix means it is supplied without a pressure gauge, which suits panels or machines that carry their own instrumentation. The polycarbonate bowl handles compressed air from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and as the low-pressure type the regulated output tops out at 0.4 MPa; we confirm the exact adjustment span on request.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter-regulator range covers 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes, with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um elements, gauge or no-gauge variants, G(BSPP) and NPT threads and bracket options. Flow is published as curves rather than one rated figure, so we confirm sizing and datasheet details on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR400 | G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Dropping filtered, low-pressure regulated air into an electrical cabinet on a machine tool where the control panel already carries its own pressure indication, so the gaugeless N version keeps the point of use clean and simple.
Regulating air to lift-assist cylinders and dock-leveler controls at a loading bay, with the manual drain bled during scheduled depot maintenance.
Supplying cleaned, pressure-controlled air to diverter gates and stop cylinders along a packaging conveyor, where the low-pressure type protects gate actuators from over-pressurised supply.
Choose the 400 size with its PT1/2 port where your manifold or drop leg is half-inch and the demand sits higher up the flow curve than a 300-size body serves. The manual drain (M) suits attended installations where an operator bleeds the bowl regularly; automatic or differential-pressure variants free you from that routine. The standard 40 um element protects general pneumatic components, while the W option's 5 um grade suits finer equipment. The N code leaves the gauge off - handy where the machine already has one - and gauge-equipped variants exist if your layout changes. Thread is PT as standard, with G(BSPP) and NPT orderable, and the J code means no bracket is supplied.
Because AirTAC publishes filter-regulator flow as curves and not a single rating, send us your pressure and demand figures and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you commit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
We do not quote a single rated flow because AirTAC publishes the GFR400 series' flow as curves rather than one figure. Share your inlet pressure, set pressure and air consumption, and we will confirm from the datasheet that this 1/2 in, low-pressure unit matches your application.
N decodes to a unit supplied without a pressure gauge, so nothing is fitted at the regulator. G-series filter regulators are also catalogued with an embedded square gauge or an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar scales, so a gauge-equipped variant can be ordered instead.
